Possessing steel industry expertise in the follow; hot rolling mills, roller quench, continuous casting and primary process.

Holding a senior management position for over six years and possessing many years of experience within industry. I have gained considerable experience at most levels within organisations. I have used my education, experience and engineering expertise to purchase capital equipment, introduce operational changes and maintenance systems which have improved the plants I have managed to ensure they reach their full potential. I have mentored and developed managers and engineers to improve their skills and empowered them to make significant contributions to their organisations.

SIGNIFICANT ACHIEVEMENTS

  • Successfully project managed a multi-million Pound project to replace a plate mill DC main drive motor and pinion box with 2 new 2.5 Mega Watt AC induction main drive motors within a 31 day shutdown from stopping of operations to start of operations.
  • Within four years of joining Spartan UK Ltd achieving increases in turnover and production output by 400% in a rapidly expanding environment by operational improvements, efficiency increases, improved plant availability and successfully introduction of capital equipment.
  • Successfully managing the company’s application for the Environment Agency’s Integrated Pollution Prevention and Control Permit and continually sustaining the conditions set out within the permit.
  • Managing change through the appropriate recruitment, development and training of the management team and workforce in an expanding organisation.
